Secure Legacy Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the purchase of a Will or Estate Planning product from One Life Funerals Limited, Trading as Secure Legacy. ("we", "us", "our") by you, the customer ("you", "your"). By using our service, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
- Our Service
- We provide a legally compliant Will writing & Estate Planning service for individuals residing in England and Wales. This service includes:
- A single, standard Will for one individual
- A mirror Will for two individuals
- Guidance for signing and witnessing
- Additional products (if applicable) – Lasting Power of Attorney, Property Protection Trusts, Other Trusts, Will Storage and Professional Executor Service from our partner companies.
- We provide a legally compliant Will writing & Estate Planning service for individuals residing in England and Wales. This service includes:
- This Will is suitable for individuals with straightforward personal and financial circumstances. It may not be appropriate for complex estates, business ownership, foreign property, or trusts.
- Eligibility
- You must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be of sound mind (have the mental capacity to make a Will)
- Be a legal resident of England or Wales
- Provide accurate and truthful information throughout the process
- We reserve the right to decline service if we believe your circumstances are unsuitable for a standard Will.
- You must:
- Price and Payment
- The total cost of a standard Will is £47 and £94 for a Mirror Will
- Payment is required in full at the time of purchase via our secure payment provider.
- No refunds are available once the Will has been produced, unless the service has not yet been delivered and no draft has been issued (see Section 6).
- Delivery
- You will receive your Draft Will digitally (PDF format) via email.
- Once you have approved your Draft Will, we will send your Will by post.
- It is your responsibility to print, sign, and witness the Will correctly. We provide instructions but cannot supervise this.
- Draft Wills and approval process
- Your draft Will is sent by email for you to check and approve.
- Please check spellings, addresses and that all names are correct.
- Please check that your wishes have been added correctly.
- If there are any spelling mistakes, incorrect information or you would like to make an amendment, please contact us immediately. We can make as many amendments to your draft Will as you wish – it's free of charge.
- We will not post your Will until you have given us approval by phone or email.
- Your Responsibilities
- Will Writing
- You are solely responsible for reviewing the Will to ensure it reflects your wishes.
- You are solely responsible for any spelling or incorrect information in your Will.
- You must ensure the Will is signed and witnessed correctly to be legally valid.
- We do not take responsibility for Wills that are invalidated due to incorrect signing or witnessing.
- Will Writing
- Will Storage
- You must ensure that your Will is signed and witnessed before sending it to us.
- It is your responsibility to return the Will to us, we provide a prepaid envelope.
- Upon death, your Will can be returned to your Executors upon receiving a valid death certificate free of charge. However, if for any reason you wish to remove your Will from storage before then, an admin fee of £25 will be required.
- It is your responsibility to store your Will Storage certificate or share it with your executors or other relevant parties.
- Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
- It is your responsibility for checking and signing the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) forms.
- It is your responsibility for sending the signed forms to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG).
- It is your responsibility for sending payment for your LPA of £82 to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)
- Professional Executor
- This service is provided by our partner company Securelegacyprobate.com and the service is governed by a separate set of terms and conditions.
- Returning a Stored Will
- If a Will is in storage with us or one of our partners, you or your executors can request it to be returned.
- If you are requesting your Will to be returned:
- Wills will be posted back 1st class
- An admin fee of £25 will be payable to return your Will
- Requests can only be made by the testator at their own request, we will not accept any requests from any other person or institution
- If your Executors are requesting your Will after your death:
- A request must be made using our partner website www.securelegacyprobate.com
- A death certificate must be provided prior to the Will being returned
- The Will shall be returned within 14 days of receiving the Testators Death Certificate and will be returned by Royal Mail Special Delivery
- Cancellations and Refunds
- You have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase, provided no draft Will has been prepared or delivered.
- If a draft has already been created or issued, your cancellation rights are waived, and no refund will be provided.

- Limitations of Liability
- Our liability is limited to the price paid (£47) for the Will.
- We are not liable for:
- Mistakes resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by you
- Improper witnessing or execution of the Will
- Consequences arising from the Will not being updated in response to changes in your circumstances or the law
- Any claims made against you or your estate
- Any loss of documents due to Royal Mail or other postal services
- Not Legal or Tax Advice
- Our service provides Will writing support based on the information you supply. It does not constitute legal or tax advice. For complex estates, tax advice or legal concerns, you should consult a qualified solicitor or tax specialist.
- Data Protection
- Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant UK data protection laws (including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018).
- Your data may be shared with our partners for the following products:
- Securelegacyprobate.com to offer Executor and Probate services.
- Kingscourt Trust to offer Probate and Storage services.
- The National Will Register to register your Will once stored
